Leanne Ryan, Community and Volunteer Coordinator

Leanne continually strives to understand the person within the problem, a person's attachment and their psychopathology, and her educational background reflects this. Leanne has a Higher Diploma in Youth and Community Work, a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Science, a Certificate in Gender and Equality Studies, and is currently in her final year of a Masters in Systemic Psychotherapy. Leanne has additional qualifications in Community Development and Leadership Skills, Suicide Intervention, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Motivational Interviewing and Parenting Programmes. Leanne is also a trainer in Trauma Informed Care and Cultural Mediation.

An ally long before joining the Aoibhneas team in 2020 as Social Care Leader, recently Leanne has transitioned into the role of Community and Volunteer Coordinator. In her new role Leanne brings a commitment to develop areas within community that promote women's rights and leadership, collaboration and partnership, and enhanced access to specialist and culturally sensitive supports to women and children victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
