Nicola Fowler, Director

Nicola is a qualified barrister (1999, England and Wales) with twenty years’ experience in corporate compliance and data privacy law. She currently serves as the Global Head of Data Privacy and leads the EMEA Corporate Compliance and Ethics team at a NASDAQ 100 Biotech company specialising in the development and commercialisation of enzyme replacement and gene therapies to treat rare and ultra-rare diseases. Prior to this role Nicola spent 10 years living and working in the Middle East where she advised clients on the integrity related risks of conducting business in hostile and complex jurisdictions.
In addition to expertise in ethical leadership and risk management, Nicola has a particular interest in supporting and advocating for vulnerable women and girls. Having started her career both prosecuting and defending criminal cases, she gained firsthand experiences of the trauma facing women suffering from domestic violence and witnessed the way in which the cycle of abuse could be perpetuated without adequate support. Since then, she has been involved in a number of initiatives, both at home and abroad to support and empower women and girls to reach their potential.
