Ciara Savage, Director

Ciara has a wealth of experience in medical social work and actively promotes the sensitive management of domestic abuse in the acute hospital setting. A CORU registered social worker since 2004, she has been in a Senior Medical Social Work role since 2007 in various areas including the fields of Palliative Care, Neurosurgery and Paediatrics. Her current role is providing a social work service in Beaumont Hospital's busy emergency department. Ciara has many years of frontline experience in supporting women affected by domestic abuse in this setting. She recognises the importance of worker wellbeing in this sector and brings a clinical focus to the Director team. Ciara is the co-lead of the Hospital’s Children First Implementation office and has a particular interest in multidisciplinary working and providing a Health and Social Care Professional focus in Acute healthcare settings.
