Grace McCormack, Refuge Coordinator
Having worked with Aoibhneas since 2015, Grace began her journey with the organisation as a keyworker working on the frontline, before moving into the management team as Social Care Leader in 2017 where she worked for 5years before her newest transition and promotion to Refuge Coordinator.
Grace has a Bachelor’s (hons) Degree in Social Care Practice, a Master of Arts in Child, Family and Community Studies as well as a Level 8 Professional Certificate in Transformative Leadership. Grace has additional qualifications in Safety Interventions (Crisis Management), Supervision within Social Care, Group facilitation, Performance Management and Health & Safety. Grace has focused her studies and career on supporting Families, Women and Children, with over 13 years’ experience in working within non-profit organisations in the areas of homelessness, education, housing and domestic abuse. A core objective for Grace and area of interest as she progresses within the organisation is in the areas of Team & Staff development, Team/Group dynamics and promoting growth, development and learning.
Grace is passionate about and maintains a strong value base within the areas of Social Justice, Women’s’ Rights, Advocacy, Female leadership, Professional Accountability, Integrity and Collaboration. Grace identifies the importance of commitment to continued learning and understanding of the experiences of women and children, through the lens of Trauma Informed Care to ensure we are adapting and supporting the ever-changing needs of women and children who experience Domestic Abuse and Gender-Based Violence.
